Welcome to the PCVGuide
This site was created by Peace Corps Volunteers as a resource for travel-related info for the Republic of Cameroon. Volunteers at post often end up sharing the same information many times over to visiting PCVs and their guests. Thus, the PCVGuide is a collaborative Wiki designed to provide a single point of reference for the best places to eat, drink, sleep and so on for every part of the country. So if you’re a PCV who answers the same questions about what to see and do at your post or are planning an in-country vacation then this, dear Volunteer, is your guide.
PCVs are posted in all the far corners of Cameroonfrom provincial capitals to medium-sized towns and small villages in the bush. During their two years of service, Volunteers have an opportunity to get to know their host countries better than most outsiders (and often even host country nationals themselves). Budget-minded by necessity, adventurous by nature and leveraging a mindshare that would be the envy of any guidebook publisher, to say that PCVs have a way of finding the best spots to kick back is an understatement, indeed.
If you're a PCV posted in Cameroon, your province page depends on your contributions! If you've never contributed to a Wiki before, see Editing Basics to get started. If you're a visitor from outside Cameroon, we hope you'll find something here that you might not find elsewhere.
